Back on the road again. Ran into hugely annoying traffic 100 miles outside of LA. I'll be in LA for the next couple of days and would not be opposed to a meetup of LA area Jalops
Enjoy.

Great video, would you be opposed as to when you are done if I were to take all of your hyperlapse videos and combine them into one huge hyperlapse of the the whole US in 1080p at 60fps? (I have a program that will smooth out video and insert extra frames into it like they were meant to be there). it may take a really long time to render (we are talking days). would this be okay with you if I then sent you a copy of the rendered file?

Great video! I'm enjoying following this road trip, its allowing me to live it out a long road trip i want to take one day vicariously. (longest I've ever been on is 3200 miles and i didn't get to drive).

Love it, Greetings from Idaho!!!

I forgot that at sea level the skies seem vaster.

Maybe, I had plans of doing something similar. Right now my videos are a 5 second timelapse then shown at 15fps. So in essence 75x speed up. What you are talking about would be 300x speed, which even with hyperlapse tech seems like it would be unwatchable. What type of program are you using? I hope microsoft releases a comercial version of their hyperlapse thing they showed a few months ago. For what it's worth I'm also taking 24fps 1080p video of the whole trip as well.

this doesn't actually speed up the video, it just smooths it out, so instead of speeding up the video 4x, it would determine movement in the video and insert extra frames. to smooth out the video, so it would in essence be video that has a frame taken every 1.25 seconds, and then play it at 60 fps, so the video would still be going along at 75x normal speed.
